Welcome Message

Welcome to my historical markers blog.   I discovered several terrific sources to begin my quest to visit and report on as many historical markers and monuments as I can and have already visited several in St John's County Florida, where I live.  

I am currently on our summer trip, and will be starting tomorrow collecting markers in Greenwood County, South Carolina.  Have planned visits to 8 markers tomorrow, plus an additional location for the National Register of Historic Places, which will be a separate blog.
